Storytelling, Brand Advocacy and Home Grown Influencers

Storytelling around a camp fire.

That adage of "People buy from people" doesn’t disappear in our digital business world, arguably even more so in the wake of the coronovius pandemic and with the development in AI and the excitement / intrepidation of Chat GPT and Bard.

As B2B and B2C boundaries further merge and transcend into human-to-human marketing, and machine-to-human marketing, how do you develop that relationship of trust and understanding when you may never get to meet your prospect or customer?

Everyone has a story to tell

Tell your story. Don’t know how? Get a professional interviewer or story writer to ask you questions about how you started your company and where you’re at now. Be mindful about approaching a business associate, or someone you already know, as they may have preconceived notions about yourself and your company. If you are undertaking this exercise yourself, we recommend storyboarding.

A good storyteller will be able to convey to your readers how and why your company came to be, its ethics and why they can trust you to solve their problems, or provide you with a high quality product.

Why they can trust you

You now have the narrative of your authentic story. As 1) 90% of the information entering the brain is visual, is it something that can be adapted into an illustration, infographic or short video to be used in communications?

Brand Advocates for recruitment

If you’re trying to recruit into your company then let your brand advocates do the talking, a photo of an real employee and a quote about what they look forward to on a Monday morning might just give the edge on new talent deciding which company to apply to. Which is even more prudent if your company has recently switched to remote working in the main.
